Once you’ve downloaded your digitized videos from Vidley Digital, you can easily stream them on your TV, phone, tablet, or computer.
This guide explains all the best ways to play or cast your videos, depending on your device and setup.

Before You Begin

Make sure:

  • Your videos are in MP4 format (all Vidley Digital files are delivered this way).

  • Your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your TV or streaming device (for casting).

  • You have enough storage space if playing locally from your device.

Option 1: Stream from a Computer to Your TV

A. Using HDMI (Most Reliable)

  1. Connect your laptop or desktop to your TV using an HDMI cable.

  2. On your TV, switch the input to the correct HDMI port.

  3. Open your video file on your computer using any video player (such as VLC, QuickTime, or Windows Media Player).

  4. The video will appear on your TV screen — press play and enjoy.

Tip: This method offers the best video quality and requires no internet connection once the files are downloaded.

B. Using Chromecast (Wireless)

  1. Make sure your TV has a Chromecast or built-in casting support.

  2. Open Google Chrome on your computer.

  3. Open the folder containing your videos and drag a video file into Chrome to play it.

  4. In Chrome, click the three-dot menu (⋮)Cast.

    • Plug the HDMI cable into your TV and switch to that input.

Option 3: Stream from a Smart TV or Streaming Device
